Air Peace and Etihad Airways have entered into a new partnership aimed at improving air travel between Nigeria, West Africa, the United Arab Emirates and other international destinations.
The agreement will allow passengers to enjoy smoother connections through both airlines’ networks, making it easier to travel across Nigeria, Africa and the Middle East using combined flight itineraries.
Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial and Revenue Officer, Arik De, said Nigeria remains a key market in the airline’s long-term expansion strategy across Africa.
He noted that the partnership gives Etihad passengers access to Air Peace’s extensive domestic and regional network while allowing Air Peace customers to connect through Abu Dhabi to Etihad’s global destinations.
According to De, working with strong regional airlines remains an important part of Etihad’s strategy to expand its presence across the African continent.
Air Peace Expands Regional ReachAir Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, described the partnership as another major step in the airline’s mission to improve connectivity for travellers in Nigeria and West Africa.
He said the agreement will provide Air Peace passengers with easier access to Abu Dhabi through Etihad’s services once the new routes begin, while Etihad customers will be able to connect seamlessly to numerous destinations served by Air Peace across West and Central Africa.
Improved Travel ExperienceOnce the partnership becomes operational, passengers will be able to book combined journeys directly through the websites of both airlines.
The new interline agreement is expected to strengthen air travel between Nigeria and the UAE, improve regional connectivity across Africa and provide travellers with more convenient routing options.
