Bogo Beverages has commissioned a new N20 billion manufacturing facility in Ikorodu, Lagos, in a move aimed at boosting local production, creating employment opportunities and contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth.
The newly inaugurated plant, with a production capacity of 80,000 units, is expected to strengthen the company’s manufacturing operations while expanding its presence in the country’s beverage industry.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Chief Executive Officer of Bogo Beverages, Godwin Oche, described the investment as a demonstration of the company’s long-term confidence in Nigeria’s consumer market despite prevailing economic challenges.
According to him, the new facility will enable the company to expand across multiple beverage segments while improving operational efficiency through increased local production.
Oche noted that the investment represents one of the largest single commitments to Nigeria’s beverage manufacturing sector this year, adding that it would help reposition the company’s business for sustainable growth.
The company said the facility is expected to generate more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs across production, logistics, distribution, retail and other supporting sectors within its value chain.
Bogo Beverages also disclosed that the plant has the capacity to produce a wide range of products, including carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, spirits, bitters and bottled water.
The company said the integrated manufacturing hub would strengthen its competitiveness across five beverage categories while supporting efforts to increase local manufacturing capacity and contribute to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
