His Excellency, DR AGBU KEFAS Governor of Taraba State, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, attended the 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony and 25th Anniversary of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House Taraba State, Delivering the Governor’s goodwill message at the ceremony, Dr JEJI WILLIAM MNI conveyed Governor Kefas’ congratulations to the graduating students and the university management for sustaining academic excellence over the years.
He described the institution as a centre of knowledge that has contributed significantly to national development.
Governor Kefas, an alumnus of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, expressed pride in identifying with his alma mater at such a historic milestone. He encouraged the graduating students to uphold the values of discipline, hard work, and integrity as they step into the next phase of life.
The Governor also commended the university for marking its 25th anniversary, noting that the journey reflects resilience, growth, and commitment to quality education.
A total of over 32,000 students were awarded PhDs, Master’s Degrees, First Degrees, and Postgraduate Diplomas during the ceremony.
The event also featured the conferment of three honorary doctorate degrees on distinguished personalities, including the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The convocation ceremony coincided with the 25th anniversary celebration of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
