Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intercepted suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers in Borno State, recovering food items, veterinary medicines and other supplies during an operation in Damboa Local Government Area.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post shared on X on Wednesday night. According to the post, the operation took place at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday during a farm protection patrol carried out by troops of the 19 Battalion (Motorised) in collaboration with the 25 Brigade Garrison.
How Troops Intercepted the SuspectsMakama said troops spotted two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers, linked to Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), along Kauji Road in Damboa Local Government Area.
The suspects reportedly abandoned their bicycles and the items they were transporting after noticing the approaching troops, Makama wrote. Soldiers pursued them, but the suspects escaped into the surrounding bush.
Items Recovered From the SceneItems recovered at the scene included two bicycles, five cartons of energy drinks, one carton of milk, one carton of soft drinks, two cartons of veterinary medicines and a blue canopy, according to the post.
Security sources quoted in the post said the recovered items have been taken into military custody for further investigation and other necessary actions.
