Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced the first phase of a free petrol delivery programme aimed at improving fuel distribution and supporting marketers across Nigeria.
The initiative initially covers Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Delta and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, with plans to expand to additional states in subsequent phases as part of the refinery’s long-term Vision 2030 strategy.
Under the programme, marketers purchasing a minimum of 250,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) will qualify for free transportation of their products from the refinery to their designated locations.
The refinery also announced that petrol supplied under the scheme will continue to be sold at its official gantry price of ₦1,215 per litre.
In addition to the free delivery service, eligible marketers will benefit from a 10-day credit facility, allowing them to receive fuel supplies before completing payment. The measure is expected to ease cash flow challenges for distributors while improving product availability across participating states.
Dangote Refinery said the initiative is designed to strengthen the country’s fuel supply chain, reduce distribution costs and enhance access to petroleum products nationwide.
The company added that more states will be incorporated into the programme in future phases as it continues expanding its nationwide distribution network.
