Chocolate City Music has filed a ₦50 million lawsuit against rapper Odumodublvck over the alleged assault of one of the record label’s staff members, escalating an ongoing legal dispute between both parties.
According to court filings, the lawsuit stems from an incident involving Feyi Ajayi, a Chocolate City employee, who the label claims was assaulted by the rapper during an event. The company alleges that the incident forms part of a broader pattern of harassment and intimidation directed at its staff and executives.
Chocolate City is seeking ₦50 million in damages, arguing that the alleged assault caused physical, emotional and financial harm to its employee. The label has also asked the court to hold the rapper accountable for the incident.
The case is currently before the Federal High Court in Abuja, where proceedings have been adjourned until October after the defence requested more time to prepare its case.
The legal battle comes amid a wider public dispute between Odumodublvck and members of the Chocolate City camp, including separate legal actions involving rapper Blaqbonez over allegations of defamation and harassment.
