Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, says the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has developed a comprehensive governance roadmap that will guide whoever emerges as the coalition’s presidential candidate.
Speaking on the coalition’s plans, Kwankwaso dismissed suggestions that the alliance was centred on any individual, stressing that its primary focus is implementing a shared agenda for national development rather than promoting the ambitions of any political bloc.
According to him, members of the coalition have jointly agreed on short-term, medium-term and long-term plans designed to address Nigeria’s challenges and ensure continuity in governance.
“We have collectively gotten a short-term, medium-term and, of course, long-term plan for this country. It does not matter whether it is him from the Obidient side, or my humble self from the Kwankwasiyya side or another side, we believe we have an agenda,” he said.
Kwankwaso added that the coalition intends to ensure that whoever eventually emerges as its candidate and becomes president remains committed to implementing the agreed programme.
“That agenda, we will as much as possible ensure that whoever comes, maybe Peter, maybe me or any other person, would stick to that programme,” he said.
His remarks come amid ongoing discussions within the coalition over its political strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections, with supporters of various political figures continuing to advocate different presidential ticket combinations. Me
