The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has called on advertising agencies to embrace innovation and adapt to the evolving communications landscape, stressing that artificial intelligence (AI) should be viewed as an opportunity rather than a threat.
The message was delivered by AAAN President, Lanre Adisa, during the association’s 53rd Annual General Meeting and Congress held at the Providence Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking under the conference theme, “AdVolution: The End of Advertising as We Know It and How to Win What Comes Next,” Adisa said the advertising industry is at a critical turning point that requires agencies to rethink traditional approaches and develop new capabilities to remain competitive.
He emphasised that AI is not the end of advertising but a powerful tool that can help reshape the industry, improve creativity, and drive innovation.
The AAAN urged industry stakeholders to invest in emerging technologies, strengthen their skills, and adopt forward-looking strategies to remain relevant in an increasingly digital and technology-driven advertising environment.
